sukses2Di tengah-tengah minggu, produktivitas kerja biasanya cenderung menurun. Sekalipun sudah berniat untuk menyelesaikan semua tugas, namun tetap saja produktivitas kerja sulit ditingkatkan. Kenapa ya?

Sebuah penelitian di University of Galve di Swedia mengungkapkan, salah satu alasan menurunnya produktivitas kerja adalah lingkungan kantor yang terlalu bising. Para peneliti melakukan tes terhadap 24 pegawai kantor dengan serangkaian tes simulasi yang biasa ada di kantor. Hasilnya, 8,7 persen mengalami penurunan kinerja karena ruang kerja yang berisik, dan 10,6 persen karena kesulitan mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk menunjang pekerjaan.

“Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kerja yang bising menyebabkan semakin rendahnya kinerja seseorang. Apalagi sekarang ini banyak kantor yang merenovasi ruangan kerja menjadi sebuah ruangan terbuka tanpa kubikel. Padahal kubikel sebenarnya berguna untuk meredam sedikit suasana berisik di kantor,” ungkap Helena Jahncke, PhD, salah satu peneliti.

Lalu bagaimana cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kembali produktivitas Anda saat bekerja?

1. Manfaatkan “earphone

“Solusi yang paling mudah dilakukan untuk menghilangkan kebisingan adalah dengan menggunakan earphone,” ungkap Jahncke. Ketika mulai hilang konsentrasi untuk bekerja, pasang saja kedua penutup telinga dan mulailah bekerja.

Jika masih sulit untuk berkonsentrasi, Anda bisa memutar lagu-lagu favorit Anda dalam playlist. Beberapa penelitian juga mengungkapkan bahwa mendengarkan lagu juga bisa meningkatkan produktivitas bekerja. Ketimbang mendengarkan lagu-lagu mellow, coba pasang lagu-lagu yang upbeat untuk membangkitkan semangat Anda

2. Mematikan nada dering ponsel
Penelitian di Louisiana State University mengungkapkan bahwa nada dering ponsel adalah alasan utama terganggunya produktivitas kerja seseorang. Bayangkan saja, saat sedang konsentrasi kerja tiba-tiba ponsel rekan kerja Anda berdering dengan kerasnya, pasti konsentrasi Anda langsung buyar saat itu juga.

Jika memungkinkan, Anda bisa meminta persetujuan rekan kerja seruangan untuk mematikan nada dering ponsel dan menggantinya dengan tanda getar selama bekerja. Hal ini tidak hanya membantu meningkatkan produktivitas Anda, tapi juga teman-teman lainnya.

3. Sesekali bekerja dari rumah
Jika Anda membutuhkan konsentrasi yang sangat tinggi untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan penting Anda, tak ada salahnya untuk menyelesaikannya di rumah. Mintalah izin pada atasan untuk mengerjakannya di rumah. Ketika bekerja di rumah dengan suasana yang lebih santai dan lingkungan kerja yang terkontrol Anda bisa berkonsentrasi penuh dan meningkatkan produktivitas.

Namun, pastinya ini tidak bisa dilakukan terus-menerus. Anda harus bisa menemukan cara untuk bisa berkonsentrasi di lingkungan kerja Anda, sekalipun bising.
